Firmware

Update your Pulsar

Signed updates install over Bluetooth LE, straight from this page. No cables, no companion app.

  • Chrome or Edge

Desktop, or Chrome on Android. The updater runs on Web Bluetooth, which Safari and Firefox do not support.

  • Half charged, or plugged in

Below 50% the adapter refuses to enter update mode, so top it up first.

Ready to update

Put the adapter in update mode, then connect to begin.

What happens

  1. Put the adapter in update mode

Hold Sync + Start for 5 seconds. It reboots and advertises as PulsarDFU.

  2. Connect

Press Connect & update above, then pick PulsarDFU from the browser's device list.

  3. Leave it alone

Keep the adapter near the computer until the panel reports Update complete. It verifies the signature and reboots into the new firmware on its own.

Reinstalling or troubleshooting

An interrupted transfer is safe. Update mode persists across power cycles, so if the link drops or you close the page, put the adapter back in front of the browser and run it again.

Reinstalling the same version is allowed on purpose. The adapter refuses anything older than what it is running, but not what it already has — so if an update ever leaves it misbehaving, running the same package again is a safe first thing to try.

Nothing unsigned ever boots. Updates are Nordic Secure DFU packages, and the adapter verifies the signature on-device before it hands over — it only ever runs firmware we signed.
