Build your own

The same parts on their own — for fitting Pulsar to a controller you already have, repairing a build, or building it your own way. The install guide shows what fitting involves. Everything here is built in small runs, so the counts are what is physically on the bench.

    Pulsar alone

    Pulsar complete — board, cell, printed case and controller cable, assembled and tested — for a controller you already own. Plug it in and go. Dreamcast controller and VMU not included; a VMU is optional, and battery charge is shown on Pulsar’s status LEDs when one is not present.

    Replacement cell

    The lithium-polymer pouch cell the adapter is designed to fit, for a build or a replacement. Charges over USB-C through the board.

Before you order

  • Pulsar fits original Dreamcast controllers — it speaks the controller's own Maple bus rather than emulating one. Testing has been on first-party Sega controllers only; third-party pads are unverified.
  • Firmware updates install over Bluetooth straight from this site, no cables or companion app. See the updater.
